Lagos Approves E-Lecture Portals For State-Owned Tertiary Institutions |
The Lagos State government has launched e-portals that will allow Lagos State tertiary institutions commence online lectures.
This was disclosed by the state via a post on it verified twitter handle on Saturday April 25, 2020.
According to the post, the online lectures will help to reduce the impact of corona virus pandemic on education.
The seven schools that will benefit from the online lectures are: Lagos State University, Lagos State Polytechnic, Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Micheal Otedola College of Primary Education, Lagos State University College of Medicine, Lagos College of Health Technology and Lagos College of Nursing and Midwifery.
Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said he approved the virtual learning in other to ensure physical distance amongst students, as well as teacher to student physical distance and maintain the state owned tertiary institutions academic calendar amid the corona virus pandemic.
Mr. Sanwo-Olu urged students of the institutions to make use of the opportunity to keep them engaged while the lockdown from corona virus lasts.
