ESUT Teaching Hospital Parklane is not involved in any strike action as mischievously posted by one Buharison Nwogwugwu-ọgwụ Bookastro Sebastine on Facebook with the aim of misinforming the public.
Speaking with the Public Relations Officer of the Hospital, Mr John Nwatu, he said that medical activities are going on in the hospital.
Nwatu who said that though today is Public Holiday being Good Friday in commemoration of the Easter celebration, the hospital is fully operating on Emergency basis as the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Unit, Children Emergency Unit and other critical units are operational.
He urged the public to disregard the baseless report posted on Facebook which he described as handiwork of mischief makers.
Speaking also with a relative of a patient at the Accident & Emergency unit who introduced herself simply as Abigail Odo, said that the doctors and nurses have been on ground attending to patients at the unit since morning.
Odo said that there was nothing like strike action being experienced in the hospital adding "because of the public holiday, activities in other units are not fully operational."
